Biking is a very relaxing, quiet time for me while enjoying the beautiful Lancaster County farm views. I also love spending time with family and friends at the Jersey Shore.


I grew up riding and always had a competitive streak, so motocross was a good marriage of the two. It is quite an adrenaline rush, being lined up on the start gate with 20 other riders. I have always enjoyed individual sports, where the outcome rests in your hands. I have raced a few circuits in AMA District 11 located in southern Ohio. I don’t race anymore now that I’m a father, but I still enjoy woods/trail riding.

I like NASCAR racing, because it is something my husband and I can enjoy together. We have been to the Richmond racetrack four times. It’s a good family sport.

We traveled on the National Geographic First Photo Expedition to China. We went to a secluded section on the Great Wall with the professional photographers to await the sunset over the Great Wall. Unfortunately, the sunset was a disappointment, but when we turned around, much to our surprise, there was a stunning full moon rising over the Great Wall—what a great opportunity!

My 2003 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe is a special edition to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Corvette. With a special exterior color called Anniversary Red, it features special badges noting the 50th anniversary, shale two- tone leather interior with embroidered emblems on the headrests and floor mats, computer-controlled suspension, a heads-up display that projects on the windshield, and champagne-colored wheels. Of the approximately 35,000 Corvettes built in 2003, only about 1,200 have the same features as my car, making it fairly rare.
