to a flock of challenges caused by the greatest pandemic in over fifty
years. We expect 2021 to have its fair share of challenges as well. Te skies appear anything but clear on the horizon and continue to provide more
questions than answers: • When will the economy fully open back up?
• Will new variations of COVID shut down parts of the country and economy once again?
• Will unemployment continue improving or backslide? • Will the housing debt bubble rear its ugly head like 2008-9? • Will inflation and rising interest rates cripple the economic progress? • Will the U.S. dollar continue to tumble?
Among the questions and potential challenges come many opportunities. Wayne Gretzky, one of the greatest hockey players of all time, said it best, “I skate to where the puck is going to be, not to where it has been.” We, as an investment team, take a similar approach as we scour the investment universe like birds of prey, looking for some of the best opportunities on the planet, where we think they will be.
